DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Duke has announced that Ryan Kelly will be out 12 weeks after having surgery on his injured right foot.
The school said Kelly had the procedure Tuesday.
The Duke-issued timeline would keep the 6-foot-11 senior out until early July. The NBA draft is June 27.
Kelly missed 13 games after hurting the foot Jan. 8 against Clemson. He returned for the win over Miami on March 2 and helped lead the Blue Devils (30-6) to the Midwest Regional final.
Coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement issued by the school that Kelly ``showed amazing courage'' in playing through the injury late the season. The coach says he expects Kelly to return to 100 percent health and pursue an NBA career.
