T.J. Cline transferring from Niagara to Richmond
May 16, 2013
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Richmond coach Chris Mooney says T.J. Cline is transferring to the Spiders from Niagara.
Cline is a 6-foot-8 forward and the son of Naismith Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman. The native of West Plano, Texas, earned all-rookie honors as freshman in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference last season, averaging 7.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 20 minutes per game. He also made 40 3-pointers.
He will sit out the upcoming season and have three years of eligibility remaining.
Mooney says Cline fits the Spiders' system well as ``a versatile player who shoots and passes the ball extremely well.''
