STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Forward Jon Graham plans to transfer from Penn State, the latest departure from a roster getting a dramatic makeover.
Coach Patrick Chambers said Tuesday the 6-foot-8 Graham decided to leave following several discussions about his future. He was granted a release to transfer.
Graham played 31 games last year, averaging 1.9 points and 2.7 rebounds. He lost his starting job eight games into his sophomore season.
He's the fourth underclassman to leave following last year's 10-21 season. The most notable departure is guard Jermaine Marshall (15.3 points), who has told reporters he was foregoing his senior season for a professional career overseas.
Penn State has four incoming freshmen and Pitt transfer John Johnson eligible this year, plus the expected return of point guard Tim Frazier from a left Achilles injury.
