Each week until March Madness we'll take a look at how the Top 25 fared from college basketball, but straight up and against the number, while also taking a look at their upcoming schedule.

Villanova (16-1 SU, 11-6 ATS) will likely remain atop the college basketball rankings after winning a pair of games, including a key home battle Wednesday against Xavier (16-3 SU, 13-6 ATS). While the Wildcats are winning, they're just 1-3 ATS over the past four games. 'Over' bettors had been a big fan of their until this past week, when the 'under' hit in each outing. Still, the over is 8-2 over their past 10 outings. The Musketeers recovered from their 24-point shellacking at Villanova to push aside Creighton (14-4 SU, 10-7 ATS). The 'under' has been the play for XU lately, going 3-0 over their past three outings, and 6-3 over the past nine.

Virginia (16-1 SU, 10-4 ATS) continues to kinda fly under the radar, as they're likely not the first, second or third choice when the casual fan is discussin the best teams in the nation. But all they do is win, win, win, no matter what. The Hoos are a perfect 12-0 SU at home this season, and the only unbeaten club in the Atlantic Coast Conference to date. They have rattled off eight straight victories since a 68-61 setback at West Virginia (15-2 SU, 7-6 ATS) back on Dec. 5. The 'under' has been a frequent play for the Cavaliers, too, going 4-1 over their past five outings, and 9-2 across the past 11. The under is also 4-0 over their past four road or neutral-site outings.

Texas Christian (13-4 SU, 8-8 ATS) is in the midst of a bad tailspin, dropping three in a row. Their three losses in a row are by a total of just 10 points, including two straight overtime setbacks. While they're just 2-4 ATS over the past six outings, total bettors have fallen in love with the Horned Frogs. The 'over' has connected in five in a row, and 10 of the past 11 overall. The losing streak started at home against Kansas (14-3 SU, 9-7 ATS) last Saturday. The Jayhawks have had trouble against the number lately, going just 1-3 ATS over the past four outings, and 4-6 ATS across the past 10. The 'over' has hit in four of their past five, and the over is also 4-1 in their past five home outings.

Auburn (16-1 SU, 11-4 ATS) was a newcomer to the Top 25 last week, but they appear poised to not only stay, but perhaps make a move up the charts. The Tigers are a tough out, particularly at home, going 9-0 SU and 5-2 ATS at home. They have covered four in a row, and the 'under' has hit in each of their past three. Their only loss so far this season came back on Nov. 17 in a neutral-site battle against Temple (8-9 SU, 7-9-1 ATS), which now looks like a bad loss. However, they have rebounded, literally and figuratively, and they're the only unbeaten team remaining in SEC play.

After back-to-back losses to Auburn and Arkansas (12-5 SU, 9-8 ATS)Tennessee (12-4 SU, 9-5 ATS) has bounced back for three straight wins and covers since Jan. 2. They're also 5-1 ATS over the past six outings. Kentucky (14-3 SU, 8-9 ATS) has covered in back-to-back games just two times this season, and they've yet to cover three in a row at any point. However, they also haven't failed to cover three in a row at any point. While they're yo-yoing ATS, the 'under' is a consistent 4-1 over their past five outings after a 7-0 'over' run from Nov. 22-Dec. 29, all in non-conference play.

Gonzaga (16-3 SU, 9-6-1 ATS) and St. Mary's (Calif.) (17-2 SU, 7-7-1 ATS) are each unbeaten at 6-0 in the West Coast Conference. The teams will square off in Spokane this week, vying for the top spot in the conference. The Bulldogs are on a roll, going 4-1-1 ATS over the past six outings while the 'under' has hit in five of the past seven. A win is likely to propel SMC into the driver's seat in the WCC, and perhaps to a Top 25 ranking. They have won 12 in a row dating back to a loss in Georgia on Nov. 26, and they're 5-1-1 ATS over the past seven. The 'under' is also 7-3 across their past 10 outings.
