Thursday’s Tip Sheet

Pac-12 betting fans will have a trio of college basketball games to pique their interest this Thursday night featuring a pair of nationally ranked teams.

The action tips off with the Utah Runnin’ Utes on the road against the Arizona Wildcats. The No. 8 Oregon Ducks head to Pullman to face the Washington State Cougars at the same time the No. 20 Colorado Buffaloes square off against the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe.

Betting Matchup

Utah has dropped its last two conference games both straight-up and against the spread. It followed up a tight five-point loss to Oregon as a four-point home underdog with a 91-52 beatdown at the hands of Colorado as an eight-point road underdog this past Sunday. The Utes are 10-5 SU with an 8-7 record ATS. The total went OVER 139 points in Sunday’s loss after staying UNDER in four of their previous five contests. Utah is allowing an average of 70.7 points per game.

The Wildcats are 11-5 SU on the year but 1-2 in Pac-12 play after losing to Oregon and Oregon State on the road their last two games. They covered as three-point underdogs in a tight 74-73 overtime loss to the Ducks ahead of an 82-65 loss to the Beavers as four-point favorites on Sunday. Arizona has just two SU wins over its last seven games after starting the season with a nine-game winning streak. It is 4-8 ATS over its last 12 games. The Wildcats are 17th in the nation in scoring with 81.3 PPG.

Betting Matchup

The recent SU victories against Utah, Arizona and Arizona State moved Oregon’s record to 14-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play. It is just 2-4 ATS over its last six games and the total has gone OVER in five of those outings. The Ducks are 9-5 ATS this season closing as favorites. Senior guard Payton Pritchard has scored 18 points or more in each of his last four starts. He capped off this run with 29 points in Saturday’s victory against Arizona State.

The Cougars are off to a 1-3 (SU and ATS) in Pac-12 play including road losses to Cal and Stanford. They have closed as underdogs in all four games. After failing to cover in five of their last six outings, the overall record ATS stands at 6-11 while going 10-7 SU. The total has gone OVER in five of Washington State’s last seven games.

The Buffaloes’ 39-point rout over Utah was their 13th SU win of the season against three losses. They have covered in four of their last five contests with the total going OVER in their last six games. Colorado is averaging 72.9 PPG and it has surpassed that number in five of its last six games. Junior guard McKinley Wright IV has exceeded his team-high 13.6 PPG in four of his last five starts. He has dished out a combined 26 assists in his last four games.

Remy Martin posted 24 points in the win against Oregon State last Thursday. The junior guard leads the team in scoring with 19.1 PPG. He has scored 20 points or more in each of his last four starts.
