Easily, the biggest embarrassment a professional handicapper encounters is whenever a team he uses is favored and manages to lose the game straight-up. It’s the primary reason I like to isolate on live dogs, as opposed to dead favorites.
In the same vein, one the best television series ever produced was one that, unfortunately, no one ever saw. It was called DEAD LIKE ME. It aired for two season on Showtime and involved Grim Reapers whose purpose was to save the souls of individuals before they died.
With that thought in mind, and with the regular season portion of the college basketball campaign nearing the finish line, let’s take a look as the biggest chalk-busters this year. Listed below are the teams that lead the nation in straight-up favorites losses this season (and the number of times the were upset) in games played through February 10th.
