Kansas-TCU Betting Odds

  • Spread: Kansas -4
  • Money-Line: TBD
  • Total: 137.5

Odds Subject to Change

Kansas enters this game as the road favorite, despite losing in incredible fashion against Texas at home. The Jayhawks will be given a -4-point spread, which has already moved up to -5 with some sportsbooks.

Kansas is not a lock to cover, going 4-5 ATS this season. TCU is also one game below .500 in terms of the ATS, so its hard to trust either here. The point total is somewhat low at 137.5, as the teams are a combined 10-10 O/U this season.

Betting Analysis – Kansas Jayhawks

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 8-2
  • ATS: 4-5
  • SU - Home: 5-1
  • SU - Away: 3-1
  • O/U: 4-5

Can the Jayhawks rebound and win on the road after an awful loss? Yes. They're still one of the best teams in the nation, led by Jalen Wilson. The underclassman leads the team with 15.1 points per game and 7.8 rebounds. He does it all for Kansas, although they have plenty of options.

Ochai Agbaji and Christian Braun have been very productive, while David McCormack also helps on the glass. The reason Kansas was destroyed was because they missed a bunch of shots, as it's hard to replicate a poor performance like that in back-to-back games.

Kansas still has the 24th-most rebounds per game in the nation, the 57th-most blocks per game and 65th-most field goal attempts in the nation. Even with these consistent big men stats, they shoot the three well with a 37% shot from beyond the arc which ranks 64th nationally.

Betting Analysis – TCU Horned Frogs

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 9-2
  • ATS: 5-6
  • SU - Home: 6-2
  • SU - Away: 3-0
  • O/U: 6-5

TCU is better than many might realize. The Horned Frogs have three players average a double-digit point total, with Kevin Samuel averaging a double-double.

The Horned Frogs have great playmakers at the top of the lineup, along with pretty productive depth from Kevin Easley to Jaedon Ledee. TCU can hang with Kansas in terms of blocked shots, seeing the 70th-most per game with 4.3

TCU also passes the ball pretty well, averaging 15.2 per game which ranks 91st in the nation. Nothing else stands out too much in terms of numbers, other than high-scoring from three talented players sprinkled with production from six other players.

Samuel will be the biggest difference in this game for TCU, as his paint presence can win them the game if he blocks shots (2.6 per game) and outplays Wilson and McCormack.

  • Kansas-TCU Predictions

This is a difficult game to pick due to the split ATS and O/U from both teams this season. Overall, Kansas is the better and more talented roster. It's hard to buy the thought that Kansas is beginning to slump, as the team has had many impressive wins already.

TCU at home is worth the thought, and they should cover the +4-point spread. If the spread is -5 with the sportsbook you use, take the Horned Frogs. Kansas should win this game, but TCU should cover - so bet accordingly.

The point total would need to see both teams touch near 70 to go OVER. Kansas has seen at least one team score 59 points or fewer in three of its last four games. TCU has touched 137 exactly in two straight games, so based off those measuring sticks the game should go UNDER 137.5.

    • Score Prediction: Kansas 67 TCU 63
    • Best Bets: TCU +5
    • Best Bets: Kansas SU
    • Best Bets: UNDER
