BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A week after an opening loss at Pittsburgh, Buffalo took out its frustration against Stony Brook Saturday behind Branden Oliver and Chazz Anderson for a 35-7 win.
Oliver, who gained 114 yards rushing in the 35-16 loss at Pitt, had his second straight 100-yard game with a career-high 126 on 15 carries. He had three touchdowns on runs of 22, 49 and 43 yards against the Seawolves.
After Anderson's 57-yard TD pass to Alex Dennison in the first quarter, Stony Brook (0-2) tied it at 7-7 in the second on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Essington to Jordan Gush.
After that, it was all Buffalo (1-1).
Oliver scored twice in the second quarter and completed the night's scoring with his 43-yarder in the fourth.
Anderson finished with 164 yards and two touchdowns on 15 of 22 passing, including the first career TD catch by Devon Hughes.
