Denard Robinson adapting to new position
January 24, 2013
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Michigan quarterback-turned-receiver Denard Robinson is learning his new trade at the Senior Bowl.
The speedy Robinson says he's embracing his new position in practices with other top senior NFL prospects for Saturday's game.
He says he ``made this choice and I've got to make the most of it.''
This week, that has meant trying to learn things like how to use his hands to get separation from defensive backs that most of his fellow receivers have had far more time to master.
North team and Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen says Robinson's explosiveness and running ability have been evident on the practice field. He also says his willingness to learn has been important.
Robinson was limited in practice by nerve damage in his right elbow the first two days.
