UConn hires Bears' Dunn as OC

STORRS, Conn. (AP) UConn' football coach Randy Edsall has hired former Chicago Bears assistant coach John Dunn to be his new offensive coordinator.
Dunn replaces Rhett Lashlee, who left after just one year on the job to take the same position at SMU.
The school says Dunn, who will also coach the quarterbacks, agreed to a two-year contract worth $300,000 per year.
He has worked with Edsall before, serving as his tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Maryland.
Dunn was John Fox's offensive quality control coach with the Bears during the 2016 season and was an offensive assistant in 2017.
Edsall says Dunn believes in an attacking no-huddle offense that uses multiple tempos, personnel groupings and formations.
UConn went 3-9 last season, which was Edsall's first since returning to the school for a second stint as head coach.
