Caleb, Alexander out for Oklahoma
September 6, 2008
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -Receiver Brandon Caleb and defensive end Frank Alexander were not in uniform for No. 4 Oklahoma's game Saturday against Cincinnati.
Alexander, a freshman, had one tackle in his debut last week but was stabbed during a melee at a Norman bar early Sunday morning. The area surrounding his right elbow was bandaged and wrapped as he stood on the sideline Saturday.
Caleb, a backup who caught two passes for 15 yards in last week's opener against Chattanooga, was wearing a boot on his left foot in warmups. The sophomore received a medical redshirt last season after a season-ending knee injury in the opener against North Texas.
