Arkansas State, a week after upsetting Texas A&M, had the second-best scoring performance in school history in an 83-10 victory over Texas Southern. It was the Red Wolves' high scoring game since 1987, when they scored 77 against East Texas State. The program record is 101 set in 1917 against Central Arkansas. Arkansas State is the first major college team to score at least 80 in a game since Texas Tech scored exactly that many against Sam Houston State in 2005.
No. 15 Brigham Young hopes to become the latest outsider to crash the Bowl Championship Series party. But the Cougars didn't look BCS-worthy in a 28-27 victory over Washington, extending the nation's longest win streak to 12 games.

The ball was spotted at BYU's 18-yard line after Huskies quarterback Jake Locker drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for throwing the football into the air to celebrate the potential tying touchdown run.
It was a brutal ending for Locker, who accounted for 270 of Washington's 337 total yards.
