Michele Redman wins Legends Tour event

SUN CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Michele Redman won The Legends Tour's season-opening Walgreens Charity Classic on Sunday, beating Canada's Lorie Kane by two strokes in cold and windy conditions.

Redman, a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour who played on four U.S. Solheim Cup teams, shot a 4-under 68 to finish at 5 under in the 36-hole event at Grandview Golf Course. She earned $30,000.

``The conditions were really tough,'' Redman said. ``I've always liked playing in the wind. When you're striking the ball well, that's when you want to play when it's windy.''

Kane closed with a 71.
