Mickelson withdraws from Texas Open

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Phil Mickelson has withdrawn from the Valero Texas Open because he pulled a muscle in his side.

Caddie Jim Mackay says Mickelson will play in Houston next week ''if he can.''

Mickelson was on his 11th hole of the day when he took a swing and grabbed his side, Mackay said. Mickelson had made the cut on the number at 3-over on Friday.
