The 51-year-old Montgomerie closed with a 5-under 67 on Woburn's Duke's Course to finish at 12-under 204, also a tournament record. The Scot earned $74,030 to push his tour-record season total to $662,985.

''It is super to get those records,'' Montgomerie said. ''You never tire of achieving things like that, no matter how old you are. It has been a fantastic season for me so far, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.''

Montgomerie won for the fourth time in nine career European Senior Tour starts. He has three victories this season, also winning the Senior PGA Championship in Michigan and the U.S. Senior Open in Oklahoma.

American Tim Thelen, Montgomerie's college teammate at Houston Baptist, tied for second with Austria's Gordon Manson and Switzerland's Andre Bossert. Manson finished with a 67, and Thelen and Bossert shot 71.
