There are three golfers tied for the top spot after three rounds as the American trio of Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele, and Kevin Kisner all sit at 9-under par. Schauffele (11/2) and Kisner (6/1) are right behind in the favorite department, as each golfer is seeking its first major title.
It's been a long time since Tiger Woods has captured a major championship (2008) as he posted his best round of the tournament at 5-under 66 to sit at 5-under going into Sunday. Woods is the fourth betting favorite at 12/1 odds, moving up from 40/1 odds heading into Saturday's action.Rory McIlroy also sits at 5-under par through three rounds, although he shot 1-under 70 in the third round of action. McIlroy began the tournament at 20/1 odds to win his first Open Championship since 2014.
The two betting favorites to begin the tournament have disappointed as Dustin Johnson (12/1 on Thursday) missed the cut and Rickie Fowler has shot a 1-under par through three rounds. Fowler began the tournament at 14/1 odds and has dipped down to 300/1 odds to erase an eight-hole deficit.
