ASH, England (AP) -England's Ross Fisher birdied his final hole for a 4-under 68 and a one-stroke lead over Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell on Thursday after the second round of the European Open.
Fisher had a 13-under 131 total on The London Golf Club's Heritage Course. He opened with a course-record 63 on Thursday.
``I didn't feel completely confident with my game,'' Fisher said. ``I was not quite as sharp and I missed a few fairways and a few putts.''
McDowell shot a 67. Spain's Sergio Garcia (64) was third at 9 under.
Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke was disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard, but - at 2 over - would have missed the cut. He signed for a 4 on the last hole when he actually made a 5.
Garcia finished eagle-birdie with putts of 9 and 18 feet.
