Yes, I know, I have not posted a blog in a while. We are 4-1 on our free football picks!
I was at the Mayweather - Hatton weigh in on Friday afternoon at the MGM Grand Arena. The atmosphere was electric and the Hatton British supporters were very vocal, of course! Here we go Ricky Hatton!
Home crowd advantage goes to Hatton with his 20,000+ strong fans.
I talked to a few of them and they are steadfast that Hatton can win the fight. In my opinion they have not handicapped the fight from both sides.
Hatton has a decent chin. He will be the agressor. He will throw the harder body punches. He is moving up from super-lightweight to welterweight.
Mayweather is always in top shape. He did not have to lose 30+ pounds for this fight. He is the superior boxer and counter puncher. He has a 7.5 inch reach advantage. He moving down in weight to his more natural weight of welterweight.
I believe Hatton cannot win a decision here. Hatton is a bleeder. Referee Joe Cortez is notorius for stopping fights early. I see Mayweather winning the fight by possibly a unanimous decision.
At -200 or less I have Mayweather as a play. Do not buy "Mayweather by decision" for a slightly cheaper price, this fight could get stopped for a number of reasons.
