Super Human Tiger Woods wins the 2008 US Open on ONE LEG! Should be the title of the movie or book and you know there is going to be a book on this for sure. Hank Haney Tiger's swing coach said in the doctors office, the doc told Tiger to be on crutches for the next three weeks and rest the knee. Tiger looked at the doc and said, "I'm playing in the US Open at Torrey Pines and I'm going to win the US Open."
Now, Tiger is going to have to really take the time to come back when he is fully ready. The double stress fracture on his left tibia is nothing compared to the knee damage. How, many swings does that knee have left?
One thing we know is that he does not need his knees to putt. The putter is the great equalizer in golf and Tiger could come back and have to re-vamp his swing all over again, but Tiger on one leg and his short game is better than 90% of the field.
So, no Ryder Cup for Tiger and the prices on the Ryder Cup have changed from the US as the favorite to the European team now -135.
