Albert Pujols Sits & Fumes- During the ninth inning of Tuesday's All-star game while sitting in my favorite Las Vegas restaurant and bar I asked the bar manager if Albert Pujols was injured. 'He played in the Home Run Derby' was his response. It was the bottom of the ninth and the NL was down one run with two runners on and punch & judy hitter Orlando Hudson was at the plate, surely if Pujols was healthy this was the time of the Nationals most feared hitter to make an appearance. But alas, the most over-rated manager in baseball was saving his power hitting first baseball for extra-innings if they got ther. This is like saving your ace during the World Series for game seven when down 3-2 in game six. La Russa defended his move by stating that once we lost Freedy Sanchez and Miguel Cabrera he had no choice. Well, he didn't lose them he 'played' them. Mr. over-manage, over-thinking and over-rated La Russa lost sight of what was to be done and now we'll never know what could have happened.
