Mike Merlet & Lee Kostroski are the owners of American Sports Analysts (ASA). They started ASA in Madison, WI back in 1997 after working for another well known Midwest Sports Service for a number of years. They have been in the handicapping industry for over 17 years each. ASA is a full time service and has grown quickly in their ten year history. Mike & Lee now have a full time staff on board in Madison which allows them to focus 100% on handicapping games. With numerous years of experience, ASA puts their expertise to work for you, handicapping Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey and Arena Football.

ASA's handicapping strategies include power ratings, statistics and some extremely strong number based systems. They also analyze each team's strengths & weaknesses after watching hundreds of hours of games and coming up with our own evaluations. Then add these strategies to their most important handicapping tool and that is their personal contacts. ASA has numerous people that they talk to (mainly in the Midwest) that can gives them some insight on how a team has been practicing, their emotional state, etc... ASA then incorporates all of these factors into their final decision making process. This has proven to be a very effective method of handicapping for ASA and their customers.

ASA concentrates on Midwest College Teams in Football & Basketball (especially the Big Ten where they have great contacts). Also have great contacts in Big 12, Mid American, Conference USA, Missouri Valley (basketball only), Horizon League (basketball only).
