With almost three weeks of baseball to digest we are seeing some similar trends and some surprises.
Last season the Brewers chewed up left-handed pitching, especially at home as they were 19-8 at home when facing a south paw. This season they are already 5-0 when facing a lefty starter, (2-0 at home) so please keep your eyes pealed for this profitable situation.
The Diamondbacks are lefty killers as well, last year they were 28-17 overall against lefties (62%). They continue to pound the left hander as they are 6-1 in their first seven games, again keep your eyes open for this opportunity (but don’t pay too much for it).
The Mets finished five games above .500 when facing lefties in 2007 and have gone 6-1 in their first seven games in 2008 against south paws.
Wins are hard to find for the SF Giants, but take note they are 3-1 against left handed pitching so far. You might get a good price with SF, look for a time when either Cain or Lincecum are starting and the Giants are facing a lefty.
So far Florida has been hitting right-handed pitching well, they are 7-3 against right-handers and 3-1 on the road, this is where you can get nice value with the fish.
The Padres are 8-4 against right handed pitching in 2008, 5- 2 at home, look to fade the Padres when they face left-handed pitching as they are 0-4 so far 0-3 at home.
Here is a breakdown of total UNITS for the season. (This is based on $100 moneyline bets per team. So if you bet any particular team every time they played this season, this is where you would stand).
