Now that we are into the second week of baseball most of us have has our share of bad beats and frustrating moments.
Last night in the Pirates game, the Bucs had a 2-0 lead heading into the 9th inning. Lights out reliever Torres comes in to shut things down right? He hadn't walked a batter all season, nor had he allow a earned run. Torres is sloppy on the mound and it's a 2-2 ball game and were going extra innings. The Pirates blow the game in the 12th and lose the ball game.
Today, the A's had a 3-1 lead heading into the top of the 8th inning, only 6 outs from winning the ball game, their pen emplodes and the A's lose the game 6-3, their pen lets up 5 runs in the final two sets.
In a long baseball season this is going to happen, if you hang in there long enough these breaks will come your way and you will get wins this way too! I promise. The key is not to get frustrated, in a 162 game season all types of wins and losses are going to happen. Stay even leveled, when you have a big day and go 4-0 take some profits, slightly increase your bets the next day and capitalize on your "hot" streak. When things start to go south, as they will, pull back a little on your wagers and reduce bet amounts until you regain your confidence and get hot again.
Never get to high or to low with your emotions when playing games, it's ok to celebrate when you have a good week, but don't get foolish and go for the big score, pissing away your bankroll. Be smart and play within your bankroll.
Nothing worse than a player that was "on fire" early being broke by the Kentucky derby. Baseball is a slow paced game, be slow paced with your bankroll and make it last. There will be games that look like easy wins, but don't subject your bank roll to loss that will wipe you out.
