I can't remember this many weather related delays to start the 2007 season. The biggest story in MLB this year isn't steroids or A-Rod getting off to a smoking start, it's the games that have NOT been played.
Seattle and Cleveland had to cancel a 4 game series that was SNOWED out, the was a major Nor'easter that drenched the northeast, canceling 5 MLB games on Sunday and canceling more on Monday. Along with the rain, it has been very cold for baseball. High temps in the 40's has giving pitchers advantages so far.
Look for these cancelled games to be a major problem as the season matures a bit. Scheduled off days are will now be scooped up to make up games that have been washed out. Bullpens will get tired out quick as this late winter cold spell will shortly lead to the unbearable summer heat and humidity. Scheduling problems will have teams playing 15-20 consecutive games. Keep an eye out for these tired teams as we head into summer.
We all miss the NFL and College football. The NFL draft is the closest thing we have to NFL action. It's always fun tio see the clips of potential NFL stars in their college games from last season. I find myself zoning out during these clips and saying to myself "I remember that game, I had BYU +6' and they lost in OT by 7" or when I see that clip of the O-lineman from Wisky against Arkansas I think "man they (Wisky) had to hang on to win and get that cover". My buddy Chris david from VI says I'm sick, but I am sure many of you do the same thing.
Some online sportsbooks have usually offer prop bets on the order in which each player will be drafted or what team will draft whom. I'll look around and see if i can find any good draft "prop" bets.
