--Let's lead with a familiar theme today in Dr. Michael Adams, who this space has repeatedly and deservingly ripped on for his Matt-Millen-like work as the University of Georgia's school president. Finally, another member of the media has called Adams to the carpet and that would be none other than Paul Finebaum, who also notes Bob Ryan's criticism of Adams and discusses in further detail the shaky job status of UGA head football coach Mark Richt.
--According to Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal-Consitution, former Georgia AD Damon Evans has put his house in Athens up for sale.
--According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, the Cavs are trying to work a sign-and-trade deal that would send Shaq to the Hawks in exchange for Marvin Williams.
--Steve Cofield of Yahoo! Sports breaks down the first half of 2010 in the MMA world.
--Stewart Mandel of SI.com offers kudos to Vandy's Bobby Johnson, who unexpectly resigned as the school's head football coach yesterday. There are whispers that former Tennessee head coach Phillip Fulmer is interested in the job. I think Fulmer or former Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach would be home-run hires for the Commodores.
--Joe Biddle of The Tennessean says that Johnson got out before the Vandy job buried him alive.
--Jeremy Fowler of the Orlando Sentinel reports on ESPN's Jenn Brown, another HOT GATOR, who recently turned down Sports Illustrated's offer to appear in the 2011 Swimsuit Edition. Brown is replacing Erin Andrews as ESPN's Thursday night sideline reporter.
