What we learned in Week 6: ***1-My COACH has still got it! (see below) 2-The SEC is WIDE OPEN! 3-Even Vandy is alive in the SEC. 4-Les Miles loves livin' on the edge. 5-UNC, embroiled in turmoil, has won three in a row on the field. 6-Clemson's Dabo Swinney might be in trouble (I thought Phillip Fulmer should've been initial hire for the Tigers)
Ok, going into Week 7, here's what I got...
1-Oregon 2-Boise State 3-Oklahoma 4-Alabama 5-Ohio State 6-Nebraska 7-Auburn 8-South Carolina 9-TCU 10-Stanford 11-Arkansas 12-LSU 13-Va. Tech 14-Florida 15-Oregon St. 16-Michigan St. 17-Iowa 18-FSU 19-Utah 20-Nevada 21-North Carolina State 22-West Virginia 23-Wisconsin 24-Arizona 25-Oklahoma State 26-Missouri 27-Texas 28-Air Force 29-Ole Miss 30-California
Also Considered: Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Ga. Tech, Miami and Arizona State
***--Just to be clear, Steve Spurrier never lost it. Now for sure, he has been humbled and hasn't achieved the success at South Carolina that he had hoped to going into this season. But now the Gamecocks have a decent quarterback and a legit running game for the first time. (Blake Mitchell was decent, but had no steady ground attack.) Translation: South Carolina has a shot at the SEC this year and possibly the next couple of years thanks to the excellent recruiting of Shane Beamer.
