--Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun is reporting that three Florida assistant football coaches are head-coaching candidates.
--Here's the latest on Bengals' WR Chris Henry, who is reportedly on life support after a domestic dispute in Charlotte this afternoon.
--Steve Spurrier is promising to use more of the Wild Cocky formation with freshman cornerback Stephon Gilmore catching the direct snap from out of the shotgun formation. Gilmore led the Gamecocks on a scoring drive in the first half of their win over Clemson, running effectively and also hitting freshman WR Alshon Jeffrey on a perfectly-thrown long ball.
--Doc Holliday is leaving West Virginia to take the head-coaching job at Marshall. Holliday has been a long-time assistant for the Mountaineers, who also worked under Chuck Amato at N.C. State and Urban Meyer at Florida in recent years. He's best known for his tenacious recruiting in South Florida, especially the counties of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
