How to bet and Beat the Book Early in NCAA College Football Season!!
Thursday September 3rd, 2009 starts the new NCAA College Football season that plans to keep us guessing, excited and arguing through January. The college football season lasts 4 long months and a practiced theory about college betting is to sit back and watch how the teams play in the 1st two weeks to get a feel for how their talent stacks up to opponents. Remember the great QB’s, RB’s and Defensive players are now playing in the NFL, while the new young recruits are working to make a name for themselves. Considering you waited 8 months since the last tick of the clock in January at the BCS National Championship Game, we know your anxiety won’t allow you to “watch”, so let’s go.
The start of the college season allows for one of the best opportunities for you to “Beat the Book” as the bookmakers have not been able to make any adjustments regarding players and trends for the young season. Consider this a prime opportunity to profit and maximize on analyzing trends, analysis and expert sports advice provided by services at www.vegasinsider.com to build your bankroll for the remainder of the season.
The bookmakers are relying heavily on the preseason polls to determine the spreads for the 1st games and if you are a knowledgeable college football fan, you know that preseason polls mean nothing! Look for teams that are overvalued and better teams that are undervalued in the original rankings just announced 2 weeks ago; using history on teams, coaches and past recruiting success will lead to guaranteed victories. During the 2008 season if you played Georgia who was ranked #1 at the start of the season you would have gone 4-8 ATS and could you have imagined on the surface that The Michigan Wolverines #21 would go 2-10 ATS, Auburn Tigers #14 2-9 ATS and Washington Huskies would go 1-11 (OK maybe you would have seen that one). But if you had the knowledge and insight you would have found success with Florida #4 11-2 ATS and Oklahoma #3 who went 10-3 ATS (imagine that, the 2 teams that played in BCS Championship with best ATS percentage).
At the end of the day, the reality is the start of the college football season may well be your best opportunity of the year to “beat the books” before they figure out which teams are better than expected or if a team can’t live up to their preseason hype.
What you need to consider early in the season is to respect the running game, as new teams are building chemistry, having the ability to control the line of scrimmage has a strong correlation to covering spreads. History proves, that teams that control the line of scrimmage cover spreads in excess of 62% and with new QB’s throwing to new WR’s and reading new defensive schemes and controlling the clock; teams traditionally start with the run 1st approach until later in the season.
We've covered quite a bit of ground in deciphering the start of the new NCAA college football season and there will be games in which there will be conflicts. There is still no hard and fast rule that covers sound judgment but if you pay attention to the facts, trends and history, and heed their advice and warnings, you should have a profitable bankroll to the start off the season. Your goal should be to make sure you don’t overlook the beginning of the college football season; it can be a tremendous opportunity to build your bankroll! So play wise and good luck.
