Kruger has been an active handicapper and sports bettor since 1988. He moved permanently to the Las Vegas valley at the turn of the Millennium and is a full-time handicapper and sports bettor.
Using skills sharpened as a stock and commodities broker and trader, Kruger is adept at analyzing games and finding good line value. Jim employs a combination of fundamental and situational handicapping without ignoring trend analysis. Kruger believes off-season preparation is a key to success, especially in basketball where early season lines can be way off. However, Kruger does not release a pick just for the sake of having a play. Jim bets all of his own plays so his money is where his mouth is.
Jim Kruger has been heard on radio programs nationwide including the world-famous Stardust Line and as a regular on the legendary “You Can Bet On It” show. As recognition of his expertise in the field of sports handicapping, Kruger was invited to participate in the prestigious World Series of Handicapping in 2006. Kruger led the contest for many weeks reaching the quarter-finals out of 36 world class handicappers before finally losing a close match-up on a bad-beat halftime bet.
