Hello sportsfan's.Everybody loves playoff time in the NBA.Maybe because we know that it lasts for two months. Here's the deal with betting on futures. We all have our hometown favorite teams. But is there enough value for the serious bettor to invest their money for two months.Let me put it this way,the two best teams in both conferences are the Celtic's and the Laker's.Boston is 5/6 and Los Angeles is 2-1.Unless you are a huge 10-20 dime bettor that really likes these teams ,there really isn't any value in wagering on them.If you really like them you can get better odds on the first round series or on an individual game.If you are just a fan that wants to bet $10 on their hometown team to win the title then go for it.But if you are looking to make real money than ask your self if the risk is worth the reward. You have to tie your money up for over two months.Out of the 16 teams that make the playoffs ,the top few seeds in each conference have no real betting value. Then the bottom few teams (we all know)aren't going to go all the way.So that leaves the value on the middle of the bunch.I am not saying that these are the few teams that will emphatically win the Championship. All I am saying is that these are the teams with the most bang for your buck. For example, the Mav's are 7-2,the Rocket's are 8-1,the Magic are 8-1, and the Hornet's are 8-1.I belive the real value is with the Jazz at 12-1 and the Cav's at 15-1.Like I said,I am not saying that the title will be won by one of these two teams ,I am just saying that the value is there.Good luck sportsfan's and good luck.
