Well as we approach the halfway point in baseball we see more surprises good and bad on teams that are making us money.Before the season had started would you believe that the White Sox ,Devil Ray's D-Back's,Cub's ,and Marlin's are 5 of the 6 first place divisional teams.The other team being the Angel's .No surprise there.Here is a list as of print today of all teams and where they are as far as money units are concerned;National League; Marlin's +1130,Astro's +1100,Card's +780,D-Back's +580,Cub's +350,Pirate's +130,Brave's +60,Phillies -80,Dodger's -230,Nat's -430,Brewer's -470,Red's -570,Giant's -620,Met's -630,Rockie's -1290,Padre's -1830.American League; Devil Ray's +980,Red Sox +780,A's +580,Angel's +530,White Sox +370,Ranger's +360,Oriole's +340,Twin's +80,Blue Jay's -240,Royal's -350,Yankee's -780,Indian's -1070,Tiger's -1240,Mariner's -1780.Let's start in the N.L.The Brave's are perennial money makers and are only up +60.The Dodger's were picked to be contenders and are in the negative.Last years surprise team the Brewer's are -470.The best "on paper" team ,the New York Met's are -630.In the A.L.,The D-Ray's are incredible at +980.The White Sox are a shock at +370.Last years A.L. surprise the Royal's are -350.The injury -plagued Yankee's are-780.And the Detroit Tiger's ,last years "Cinderella "team is - 1240.Free agency,injuries,steroids ,and trades have certainly played a big part in this years surprises.The few things you must take into consideration is; #1 Value,Value ,Value.#2 Pitching .#3 Past performances vs. that days team. #4 Current streaks.And #5 recent starts (3-5) of that days starting pitcher.well sports fans ,i belive the second half of the season will show us even more surprises.Remember to do your homework.It's supposed to be fun for you...But isn't it more fun when you are making money?!?!Be sure to check out my daily winning baseball plays.Thank you.
