Sean O’Connell has been a professional handicapper for 17 years with the last 7 years dedicated solely to Professional Baseball. His interest in handicapping sprouted from his love for sports, especially baseball, and his love for math and numbers. While a Vice President for a top regional investment firm, Sean found there was a correlation in trading financial derivatives using methodologies of Leonardo Fibonacci (a famous mathematician) and J.D. Gann (a legendary stock and commodity trader) and baseball, because of its long season. This unique methodology, combined with Fibonacci “Golden Ratio” when applied to baseball handicapping, identifies support and resistance; on teams and pitchers, timing of wins and losses and projections for winning and losing streaks for both teams playing. All these combined have resulted in a successful 54.18 win rate for the past 17 years and a 57.25 win rate for the past 7 years.
Sean grew up in the New England area where his love for baseball grew as he did. He moved to Florida where he graduated from the University of Central Florida majoring in Finance with a minor in Statistics. He loved Florida so much he settled in the east coast area. Now Sean can be found splitting his time at various spring training facilities throughout Florida in the springtime, working on his website and getting ready for the up coming baseball season. (For more information on Sean’s methodologies as applied to his handicapping you can go to his website BaseballAdviser.com).
