The entire Roush stable of drivers flexed their muscles Friday at las Vegas Motor Speedway during Sprint Cup practice and qualifying led by Matt Kenseth who was fastest in both.
Kenseth becomes a nice early play in odds to win plays at 15-to-1 or higher -- some places have him 22-to-1 in Vegas -- and also in driver matchups.
Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and David Ragan were also fast during practice and gave Roush four of the top-5 quickest times in practice.
Marcos Ambrose was also fast, but we'll wait until tomorrow before we become a believer in him because most drivers were running in qualifying trim with limited race trim runs. Only one driver, Casey Mears, ran at least 10 consecutive laps during Friday's session.
Saturday's practice will reveal the whole story, but based on six Roush wins in the 13 Vegas Cup races and 17 wins overall between the three major series, it should be expected to see Roush run very well in Saturday's practice and then Sunday's race.
