There are only two Cup practices for Martinsville and they are both on Friday. Saturday is qualifying. When this type of schedule happens, generally the first practice is what you want to look at because they'll be running exclusively in race trim. In the second practice we'll see the first half of the session in race trim while the later half will be in qualifying set-up...........Most of the teams are bringing new chassis' this week. The notable exceptions are Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick who are both bringing their Phoenix cars, both of which were extremely fast in practice. Edwards got involved in a wreck and finished 28th while Harvick finished fourth.........However, at this track, it's pretty hard finding anyone but Hamlin and Johnson to bet. Jeff Gordon and Jeff Burton could be the candidates to end the 48 and 11 run Martinsville.
