The following is a list of drivers with the top past performing chassis that will run this week in Las Vegas:.....
Tony Stewart is using the car that he won with at Chicago to kick off the Chase.....Carl Edwards is using the same car he was runner-up with at Homestead, Texas and finished third at Charlotte.....Marcos Ambrose is using the same car he finished fourth with at Vegas and fifth at Charlotte....Matt Kenseth is using a two time winner from 2011 that won on tracks just like Las Vegas. He is the driver I have keyed on this week.....Greg Biffle is using one of David Ragan's old cars from last year that finished sixth at Texas.......
Johnson is using a car that underperformed all 2011 in six starts........Ryan Newman is bringing a car with very unspectacular results.....
Harvick, Kyle Busch, Martin, Keselowski, Montoya, McMurray are all in new cars .........Reminder, the cars history doesn't mean that it will run well or poorly, but I always like to use it as a starting point and then mix in past trends for each driver at each track, and then finally watch it all unfold in practice.
