Steve Benson is our new golf handicapper and he will be providing picks for the US PGA and European Tour during 2013.
In the past Steve has worked as an odds compiler and trader for several leading online bookmakers. He was Head of Golf at major European sports book bwin and had a similar role at Expekt.
Steve has also worked as a golf handicapper and betting content writer for sports.com and sportinglife.com. He also has a number of contracts to write about golf and several other sports for leading sports betting websites.
Our new golf handicapper has spent some time working as a caddie on the European Tour. He still has contacts and friends in the sport and will be referring to them for some unique guidance during the season.
Benson has devised a unique Power Ratings system which allows him to analyse the key factors in determining the potential winners of professional golf tournament. He assesses course form, current form and key skills to identify his picks.
The system Steve has devised does not involve time consuming number crunching but helps him to assess the relative merits of the leading players in the betting market. Last season the Power Ratings earned a return in investment of almost 20% and a point’s profit of 58%.
The main focus of the tips will be in the outright and top 5 markets but any 72 hole match bets that stand out will also be advised. Bets will be given using a points system, from 1 to 5 points, with the best bets advised to 5 points.
