This weeks' Patriots/Colts matchup is getting built up, and rightfully so.
But I don't get the feeling like when the the Cowboy's and the 49ers met
a few times in the 90's. Why?
Well, the NFL is so watered down that I don't think either of these clubs
would've beaten the aforementioned teams. Yes we have many Hall of Famers
and future ones as well on the four clubs. But in the 90's there was so much better
competition throughout. Think the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia
Eagles, Buffalo Bills it goes on. The .500 clubs a decade ago were better than the .600 clubs
of today.
So though this game should be entertaining, even though they are past SB Champs. I don't think
they can hold a candle to the great ones of the 90's.
