As we head into the middle of January and the teams are almost at the halfway point. We see the huge difference between the Conferences are still night and day.
The Eastern Conference has only 3 teams with at least 20 wins, while the Western Conference has 9!
How can one conference be so far ahead of another? These things always work in cycles but I don't see the Western Conference's dominance declining anytime soon. Look at a young club like Portland. They're certainly going to join the ranks of San Antonio and Dallas in the upcoming years.
The NBA is in the midst of an uneven balance. Sure Boston has sparked the conference, but they're lead by a group past their primes.
Going to be interesting the next few years.
