Obviously Tuesday wins Thursday in Big A feature
February 7, 2013
NEW YORK (AP) - Obviously Tuesday won on Thursday, beating stablemate Black Pen by 2 1/2 lengths in the $62,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.
David Cohen was aboard the 5-year-old gelding, which won for the fourth time in 12 starts. The winner completed the six furlongs in 1:10.72.
The outcome gave trainer David Jacobson a 1-2 finish, although the horses were not coupled in the wagering.
Obviously Tuesday paid $6, $3 and $3.50. Black Pen returned $4.30 and $3.80 while Burned Bridges showed at $9.20.
With a winter storm set to hit the New York area, Aqueduct canceled Friday's card. The track and Belmont Park will remain open for wagering on out-of-town races.
A decision on the Saturday program will be made Friday.
