The Pick 6 was hit on Thursday at Belmont Park, with 83 winning tickets each worth $16,961, with the consolation for five out of six returning $117.50.
The winners were Readtheprospectus ($3.90), Double the Energy ($18.20), Summer Shiner ($10.00), Selenite ($8.20) and Lawyer Jim ($17.20) and Hot Rendezvous ($4.60).
I had the two biggest prices as my top picks along with Readtheprosepctus, while Selenite was my third choice and Hot Rendezvous was my second choice.
The only winner I failed to list among my top four was Summer Shiner. I ended up passing on the Pick 6 as I was busy working and putting together my new computer, and with a modest investment I am pretty sure I would have just had five of the six.
It was still a solid day as my two longshots on top also produced recommended exactas that paid $79.00 and $47.20, and we knocked down a couple of other exactas that paid $19.40 and $25.40.
Coming up on Saturday we have a couple of $1 million races at Parx Racing, the Cotillion (G1) for three- year-old fillies and the Pennsylvania Derby (G2) for three-year-olds.
The Derby reunites the top two from the Travers (G1) as Will Take Charge and Moreno were separated by just a neck. They are both going to get a bit too much attention in the betting and I am going with a longshot. I will break down the race in tomorrow's column.

Analysis: Star Channel drops in class after coming up short in stakes company in three starts after the Toscano barn took this guy for $62,500 out of a win here at this distance and at this level back in July. The four year old also won at this level here back in May, also at 1 1/4 miles. He is one of three in here that is proven at the distance and the 8-1 morning line looks more than fair.
North Slope is coming off a good runner up finish in the off the turf Hall of Fame (G3) in the slop. The colt passed his first allowance condition over the turf here three back going 1 1/16 miles. He has been best on turf and being out of an A.P. Indy mare he should be able to handle the extra ground here.
WIN: #3 to win at 9-2 or better.

Today's Featured Race of the Day from Belmont Park:
Analysis: Ol Donvo gets the call and the chalk in here may scratch as she is cross entered in tomorrow's Cotillion (G1) at Parx although she is 20-1 and fits better here. Our top pick stretches out to a mile for the first time here after a couple of good efforts in her first two starts against winners. She was second in the Just Smashing at Monmouth Park two back and then last out stumbled coming out of the gate and came with a wide bid to finish third last out as the beaten favorite against $65,000 starter optional claimers. She has plenty of pedigree to handle the extra ground as she is by Curlin out of a Storm Cat mare.
Flash Forward is coming off a solid effort winning the restricted My Flag last out at the Spa going nine furlongs by 8 1/4 lengths, earning a career top speed fig. She is stepping into open company here but she will be really tough if she runs back to her last effort. Main knock is going to be the light price.
