Welcome to the first (of many, hopefully) installment of the Big A Today. Glad you could make it. Now let’s make some money.
If you purchased my Preakness picks pack last Saturday, you’re already ahead of the game as I selected six winners on top, including superfilly Rachel Alexandra at $5.60. I started and ended the day with two cold doubles that paid $21 and $16.60 and nailed the late pick 3 that paid $61.40 cold!! For good measure, the 3-10 exacta box in the Dixie was all me, paying $70.20. But that was then and this is now, so let’s have at it.
Race of the Day While the seventh race at Belmont offers a full field of promising turf horses it more importantly offers value as I like 9-Le Grand Cru, who has a pedigree that screams turf. Hall of Fame trainer Allen Jerkens stretches him out and adds Lasix for his grass debut. 2-Prime Delivery makes his first start in just over three months off a third place finish behind stakes winner Stormalory and next out winner Florentino. 6-Strike Again has been keeping good company, finishing behind a pair of next out winners, including Affirmatif who won a minor stakes on the Preakness undercard, in his last start. 7-Pinckney Hill won his debut despite getting bothered at the start in his mid-January bow.
The Plays $20 to win on 9=$20 $1 trifecta key 9 OVER 1,2,5,6,7,8=$30 $1 trifecta part-wheel 2,6,7 WITH 9 WITH 1,2,5,6,7,8=$15 Total Plays: $65 Bankroll: $0
Live Longshots Race 1: 3-Mr Serious Race 4: 3-Shesa Bud Girl Race 5: 1-Kutais Race 9: 4-Puregoodnis
