If you bought my Belmont picks pack yesterday and were able to spread your money around, you had an amazing day. I had two winners on top that resulted in a cold $21.80 double and six more listed winners, including Kutais ($34.40, 15.40, 6.90) who was featured in the Live Longshots section. In fact, no Live Longshot finished worse than third. I had five listed exactas ($54.50), three listed trifectas ($383), four listed doubles ($408), three listed pick threes ($975) and a listed pick four ($911).
Race of the Day
I don’t like doing this, but the early double looks chalky, yet too tempting to resist. In the first, 4-Belle Allure adds Lasix, makes her second U.S. start and first on the East Coast for new trainer Christophe Clement. Best chance to upset appears to be 5-Vancy Pants who closed well to be second in her first start for Kiaran McLaughlin last out at Keeneland. She may have too far to come though. In race two, the first baby race at Belmont this season, 1-No Shenanigans debuts for Pletcher and is just one of two colts in the six horse field.
