Rachel Alexandra has final work

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra has put in a final workout before her 2010 debut in Saturday's New Orleans Ladies at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans.
The 4-year-old filly breezed 4 furlongs in 49 seconds under regular exercise rider Dominic Terry on Monday morning.
Trainer Steve Asmussen supervised the workout and said Rachel ``went beautiful ... did very well, looked good.''
The workout was Rachel's seventh this year, and Saturday's race will be her first since winning the Woodward Stakes at Saratoga on Sept. 5.
The race will serve as a prep for a long-awaited showdown against unbeaten Zenyatta on April 9 in the Apple Blossom Invitational.
