Game: 2
Venue: Coors Field
Date: June 21, 2014 4:10 PM EDT

The Milwaukee Brewers continue to enjoy life on the road.

Coming off their highest-scoring game of the season, the majors' top road team can secure their first winning series at Colorado in almost nine years by handing the Rockies a fifth consecutive defeat Saturday.

Jean Segura homered twice and was one of five Milwaukee players with three hits and had three RBIs during Friday's wild 13-10 win over Colorado (34-39). Khris Davis and Aramis Ramirez also had three RBIs for the Brewers (45-30), who are 25-15 on the road and averaging 5.6 runs while winning eight of 10 away from Miller Park.

Milwaukee is 8-21 at Coors Field since taking two of three there Aug. 15-17, 2005.

'Everybody likes hitting in this park,' Segura said about Denver's thin air. 'This place is great for hitters. It's amazing how balls go off the bat here, just go out in the field so quickly.'

Segura broke out after going 3 for 23 in his previous seven games and not homering in his previous 41 contests. The 2013 All-Star shortstop is batting .433 (13 for 30) in eight career games against the Rockies.

Teammate Carlos Gomez also had three hits to extend his stretch of reaching base to 33 straight contests, and is batting .324 with nine RBIs during his 16-game hitting streak. Gomez is hitting .448 (13 for 29) during his last seven games at Coors Field after batting .143 (4 for 28) in his first 10 there.

Milwaukee's Wily Peralta (7-5, 2.98 ERA) has a 3.93 ERA during his second three-game winning streak of the season - all on the road - that followed a five-start stretch where he went 0-4 with a 3.64 ERA. After briefly leaving the team to tend to an undisclosed personal matter, Peralta allowed three runs and nine hits in seven innings of a 9-3 win at Arizona on Monday.

The right-hander yielded eight runs - five earned - in 3 2-3 innings of an 8-3 loss at Coors Field last season to fall to 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA as a starter against the Rockies.

Justin Morneau, 2 for 4 with a double versus Peralta, had five RBIs and hit one of three home runs Friday for the Rockies, who displayed plenty of offense in their first game since being no-hit by Clayton Kershaw on Wednesday.

"Guys turned the page pretty well,' manager Walt Weiss said. '(The no-hitter) was long forgotten when the game started.'

Colorado has dropped 19 of 27, and its starters have allowed 24 runs over 19 1-3 innings in the last five contests.

The Rockies recalled Christian Friedrich to make his first major league appearance in almost two years Saturday. Brought up after Juan Nicasio was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs, Friedrich went 5-8 with a 6.17 ERA in 16 career starts in 2012 - when he last pitched in the majors July 28 before a back injury ended his season.

The left-hander was 1-8 with a 7.89 ERA in 13 starts for Colorado Springs this season.

The 11th pitcher to start for the Rockies in 2014, Friedrich is facing Milwaukee for the first time.

Colorado's Corey Dickerson had four hits with a homer and three RBIs on Friday, and is batting .522 (12 for 23) with two home runs and nine RBIs in his last six at Coors. The second-year outfielder is 7 for 10 with two homers and four RBIs in three games against the Brewers.
