The Chicago White Sox have had some easy wins against the Seattle Mariners. Few have been as dramatic - or historic - as their last one.

Following Philip Humber's perfect game, the White Sox look to complete a three-game sweep of the Mariners on Sunday with their eighth consecutive win at Safeco Field.

Humber threw the 21st perfect game in major league history - and third in White Sox history - Saturday, leading Chicago to a 4-0 win over Seattle.

Needing only 96 pitches to complete the task, Humber struck out nine, including pinch hitter Brendan Ryan on a check swing to end the game.

"I don't know that I dominated them,' said Humber, who threw the second April perfect game in league history. "Obviously the ball was hit at people. I'm thankful for that. It was a well-pitched game. Definitely something I'll never forget."

It was the third no-hitter thrown against the Mariners, who have lost three straight while totaling four runs. Seattle (7-9) has dropped 18 of 21 against the White Sox, losing five in a row by a score of 27-8.

The White Sox (8-6) have had particular success shutting down the Mariners at Safeco, holding them to 10 runs and a .179 batting average during a seven-game winning streak.

John Danks (1-2, 4.82 ERA) has the difficult task of following Humber, but he's had his own success at Safeco. The left-hander has won five straight starts overall against the Mariners and hasn't allowed a run in his last 18 1-3 innings in Seattle.

He was at his best in his most recent appearance there. Danks tossed a three-hitter and tied a career high with 10 strikeouts in a 3-0 victory Aug. 27.

This time, Danks will be trying to reverse course after some early struggles. He went seven innings against Baltimore on Tuesday, allowing three runs on a pair of homers in seven innings of a 3-2 loss.

"He battled," manager Robin Ventura told the White Sox's official website. "He just had two pitches he wants back. He gives you everything he's got and it's just one of those games."

He'll take the mound as the White Sox try to win a fifth straight road game. Chicago has won three of four overall.

The Mariners will counter with Kevin Millwood (0-0, 6.30), who labored Tuesday in a 9-8 loss to Cleveland, giving up seven runs and nine hits in four innings. He faced six batters in the fifth and failed to record an out.

'You try to figure out what's not right and try to fix it,' Millwood said. 'Tonight, I wasn't able to do that.'

The right-hander is 1-5 with a 3.14 ERA in 11 starts against the White Sox.

Adam Dunn is 8 for 19 with six homers against Millwood. After going deep twice in Friday's win over the Mariners, Dunn went 0 for 4 Saturday.

Paul Konerko, who continued his hot start with his 398th career homer in the first inning Saturday, is 10 for 27 against Millwood. Konerko is batting .353 with two homers this season.
