SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Torii Hunter and Howie Kendrick each hit a two-run double, leading the Los Angeles Angels to an 8-5 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Monday.

Hunter had a two-run double in a three-run first inning off Jeremy Affeldt, who started when the Giants scratched reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum because of a slight case of the flu.

Lincecum is to make his next start Wednesday in place of Randy Johnson, who will be skipped because of biceps soreness, manager Bruce Bochy said.

``Just precautionary,' Bochy said. ``It's just a little cranky. That's all normal spring training stuff.'

Kendry Morales hit an RBI double to cap the first-inning rally, his sixth double and sixth RBI of the spring as he attempts to win the first base job.

Kendrick hit his double in the fifth after Reggie Willits led off with a bunt single and Chone Figgins doubled off Bob Howry.

Kendrick is hitting .455 with three doubles and five RBIs in eight games.

Bengie Molina was 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the Giants, lining a two-run double off the left-field fence in the third inning before rolling a hit-and-run single into right field to drive in a run in the fifth. Molina, who led the Giants with 95 RBIs last season, has seven so far this spring.

Angels starter Nick Adenhart gave up four hits and four earned runs over 3 1-3 innings in his second start of the spring.

``He's something. I like him a lot,' Bochy said.

Right-hander Shane Loux, competing with Adenhart and Dustin Moseley for a spot in the starting rotation, gave up his first earned run of the spring while pitching 3 2-3 innings.

Loux allowed four hits and struck out four. His spring ERA is 0.84 in 10 2-3 innings.

``He showed what he has,' Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.

Howry gave up his first two runs of the spring. He yielded four hits, including a bunt single and a broken-bat single. He had given up one hit and no walks in his first five appearances covering six innings.

Non-roster right-hander Justin Miller, a candidate for the San Francisco bullpen, pitched two scoreless innings and has not given up a run in six innings. He has allowed three hits and a walk.

Notes: Giants LHP Billy Sadler will start against Milwaukee on Tuesday. ... Giants INF Emmanuel Burriss, a candidate for the starting second base job, was hit by a pitch just above the left ankle in fifth inning and was removed from the game. ``A half-inch lower and I would have been out for the season,' Burriss said. ``I got lucky.' Burriss was treated with ice after leaving the game. ... The Giants optioned INF Conor Gillaspie and RHPs Henry Sosa and Jesse English to the minors. They also reassigned C Eli Whiteside and INFs Matt Downs and Jake Wald to minor league camp.
