GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) - Fausto Carmona bounced back from a poor start to pitch four dominant innings for the Cleveland Indians in a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.

Angels starter Dan Haren was nearly as strong over five innings, allowing four hits and two runs without a walk.

Carmona, touched for six runs over three innings Tuesday against Arizona, held the Angels hitless until Alberto Callaspo singled with one out in the fourth. The right-hander then got hot-hitting rookie Mark Trumbo to bounce into a double play.

Matt LaPorta, expected to provide some offense to Cleveland's lineup, turned in two scintillating plays at first base. He also doubled in three at_bats.

Asdrubal Cabrera had two hits and an RBI. He scored on a double by Shin-Soo Choo in the fourth and singled home Michael Brantley in the first.
