DENVER (AP) - The Los Angeles Dodgers weren't celebrating after two solo homers in the 12th. Not with the heart of the Colorado Rockies lineup due up.

``At that part of their order, you know you're in a tough spot,' manager Don Mattingly said.

The Rockies proved it by rallying for two in the 12th before Dexter Fowler's RBI single with two outs in the 13th inning gave them a 7-6 win over the Dodgers on Saturday night.

``Very tough,' Aaron Miles said. ``At Coors Field the game's never over.'

The Dodgers took a 6-4 lead in the top of the 12th when Miles led off with his second home run in 349 at_bats. Two outs later, Trent Oeltjen hit a sinking liner that got past centerfielder Dexter Fowler. Oeltjen beat shortstop Troy Tulowitzki's relay throw with a headfirst slide across home plate.

It was the Dodgers' first inside-the-park homer since May 6, 2008, when Blake DeWitt hit one against the New York Mets.

``We still had to go through the meat of their order,' Miles said.

Fowler led off the bottom of the 12th with a walk and scored when Todd Helton doubled on the 15th pitch from Javy Guerra. Helton, who earlier homered on his 38th birthday, helped set up a tying grounder by pinch-hitter Eliezer Alfonzo.

``It was his best against mine, today was his day and he got me,' Guerra said.

Miles, who played with Helton for two seasons, wasn't surprised by Helton's at-bat.

``It's vintage Helton. He's on everything just enough. He's going to put the ball in play or he's going to walk,' He said. ``A great effort by him, we were just on the wrong side of it.'

The Rockies won it in the 13th when Mark Ellis hit a two-out double and Fowler lined a single inside third base off reliever Blake Hawksworth (2-4).

J.C. Romero (1-0) pitched the 13th for the Rockies, who won the 5-hour, 7-minute marathon to improve to 2-6 in extra-inning games.

Dodgers starter Ted Lilly gave up three hits and three runs in 4 2-3 innings. He was forced to leave because of stiffness in the right side of his neck.

``It's been stiff and we've been working on it,' Lilly said. ``I expected to go out and give us a better outing.

Mattingly said he expects Lilly to make his next start.

The banged-up Dodgers used their entire bullpen to get through the game, and Mattingly said he will evaluate who's available for the series finale Sunday.

``The length of the game all it really does is extend a lot of arms,' Mattingly said. ``We'll have to figure out tomorrow who we'll have available.'

The Dodgers took a 2-0 lead in the first on Juan Rivera's bases-loaded single in the first. They fell behind 3-2 before scoring two more in the fourth on RBI singles by Justin Sellers and Matt Kemp.

The Dodgers had 12 hits through the first five innings but managed just one hit over the next six.

It seems a lot of these games nobody scores, nobody scores, nobody scores, somebody scores, somebody scores more,' Mattingly said.

NOTES: Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen (cardiac arrhythmia) is scheduled to make his first rehab appearance Sunday for high Class A Rancho Cucamonga. The Dodgers expect him to return to their bullpen Friday. ... Dodgers RF Andre Ethier, who had an ingrown toe nail removed and didn't play Friday, pinch-hit in the seventh, struck out and stayed in the game. ... Kevin Millwood, who has allowed five home runs in 13 innings in his first two starts for the Rockies, will start against the Dodgers for the first time since May 8, 2002, while with the Braves. Chad Billingsley, who has a 7.88 ERA in seven games at Coors Field, will start for the Dodgers.
