GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Vicente Padilla threw two hitless innings and Reed Johnson drove in a pair of runs, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Friday.

The Dodgers played most of their projected starters in their spring training opener at Camelback Ranch. Regular left fielder Manny Ramirez was the designated hitter and had a pair of singles in three at_bats.

Los Angeles got its first run off Mark Buehrle, slated to be Chicago's opening-day starter. The left-hander allowed an unearned run and three hits in two innings. A passed ball in the second put Casey Blake at third base before Johnson got his first RBI.

``Buehrle looked sharp,' White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. ``Every spring training he comes with some fatigue or feels something here or there. This year we don't have any complaints about it.'

Padilla, a right-hander who went 4-0 in seven starts for the Dodgers after being released by Texas last August, has a spot in Los Angeles' rotation. He felt no pain in his right leg, where he was shot accidentally this past offseason.

``I don't have any problems with my leg anymore,' Padilla said. ``Everything's fine. I threw a bullpen before this and I threw batting practice, too, and I didn't feel too bad.

``I was just trying to locate the ball and throw more or less strikes,' he added. ``I'm pretty happy my leg feels fine.'

Everyday starters Carlos Quentin (right field), Paul Konerko (first base) and Alex Rios (DH) made their spring training debuts for the White Sox, who were playing at their home park for the first time in 2010.

The Dodgers, Chicago's partners at the Camelback Ranch complex, were the visiting team, and their starting lineup included infielders Rafael Furcal, James Loney and Blake, catcher Russell Martin and outfielders Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier.

``Everyone was excited and everyone wanted to play today,' said Kemp, who went 1 for 2 with a walk. ``That first game was at home, so I'm sure everybody knew they were going to be in the lineup, and it was fun.'

NOTES: Guillen said he was pleased with reliever J.J. Putz's one-inning, two-strikeout performance. ``I didn't even know he throws a forkball. I thought it was a changeup,' Guillen said. ... Chicago RHP Gavin Floyd will pitch Monday against Seattle, his first start of spring training. ... The White Sox will send a split squad Saturday to Mesa, the Chicago Cubs' spring training home. Asked about facing the Cubs five times in the spring and six in the regular season, Guillen was incredulous. ``Lou Piniella, we'll kick your butt,' he said with a wry smirk.
