PHOENIX (AP) -Jonathan Sanchez knew it would be a good day for hitters as soon as he took the mound.

``I saw the flags. They were blowing out. Any flyball was going to get out,' the San Francisco Giants starter said.

Rickie Weeks homered to the base of the left-center field flag poles, a drive estimated at 450 feet, and Jason Kendall and Brad Nelson also connected Sunday in the Milwaukee Brewers' 10-9 victory.

Randy Winn and Aaron Rowand homered for the Giants, whose 36 homers are second in the major leagues. It was Winn's first homer, and his three RBIs equaled his previous spring training total.

There were 13 extra-base hits, nine by Milwaukee, on a day when the wind blew at 15 mph with gusts up to 33 mph.

``It wreaked havoc out there,' San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy said.

Kendall, Billy Hall, J.J. Hardy and Prince Fielder had two hits apiece for the Brewers, and Weeks, Kendall and Mike Cameron had two RBIs each.

Sanchez gave up four runs and five hits in 3-2 3 innings, including homers by Weeks and Kendall. Making his first start since playing for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic, Sanchez left after 75 pitches.

``I got behind on Weeks. He was cheating on the fastball and got it,' Sanchez said. ``The two balls they hit out were over the middle of the plate.'

Rowand had a two-run double and Bengie Molina had a two-run single in the Giants' five-run second inning off Mark DiFelice.

Travis Ishikawa, Fred Lewis, Molina, Rowand and Kevin Frandsen had two hits apiece for the Giants.

Ishikawa was 2-for-3 and made an over-the-shoulder catch down the right-field line. He has six hits in his last 10 at_bats, including two homers.

DiFelice, attempting to claim an open job in the Brewers' bullpen, gave up six runs and seven hits in two innings.

``Just one bad outing. Everyone has them,' Milwaukee manager Ken Macha said. ``It's very important to evaluate him against the starting group. He doesn't throw real hard, but he has great movement on his fastball, so we want to see how that translates.'

Notes: San Francisco reassigned RHPs Kevin Pucetas and Francis Beltran to its minor league camp. The Giants released RHP Keiichi Yabu, then re-signed him to a minor league contract. ... Milwaukee OF Tony Gwynn Jr. and 3B Billy Hall were among the Brewers scheduled to play Monday against Colorado on the Brewers' last trip to Tucson this spring. Gwynn played the field for the first time Saturday after returning from a right shoulder impingement. ... Brewers RHP Braden Looper threw 40 pitches in three innings Saturday and is scheduled to pitch four innings in his next start Thursday against Texas. ``With no more setbacks, he'll be ready' for the start of the regular season, Macha said. Looper and David Bush will stay back when the Brewers break camp April 3 to build their pitch counts up in minor leagues games before joining the team in San Francisco for the opener on April 7.
